- It is possible he is Joseph LaFauci, of King Features, who retired in July 1991. Michael Shenk is heralded as one of the top three crossword puzzle constructors, and replaced LaFauci until he (Shenk) became the editor of the Wall Street Journal Crossword Puzzle in 1998.
