🎻 Hands-On Music Exploration – Metzler Violins presents the KUSC String Instrument Petting Zoo!
🎭 Live Performances – Enjoy LA Opera Connects' “Sing Out Loud,” featuring stunning arias, popular tunes, Spanish songs, and surprise cameos from kids in the audience!
🎨 Creative Crafts – Build your own harp with the LA Phil or craft an opera helmet with LA Opera Connects!
🎧 Relax & Listen – Kick back in the Classical California Listening Lounge, complete with bean bags and headsets tuned to our streams for both kids and adults.

Classical California Program Details:

  • Love at First Listen: Each host shares the story behind their LAFL and an audio sample. Hosts on stage: Dianne, Maggie, Brian, Alan, Solomon (Sat only), Suraj
  • Meet the Hosts: Each host shares how they got into radio, what a radio host does, how we pick what to play, what to say, etc. Hosts on stage: Dianne, Brian, Alan, Solomon (Sat only), Suraj
  • Trivia hosted by Maggie – “Which Is It?!"
  • Glissando spotlight + Car Tunes LIVE: The theme will be classical music inspired by or related to books/back to school. Suraj and Solomon host on Saturday, and Suraj on Sunday

The space will also connect visitors to USC University Relations and its community and university partners through crafts, giveaways, and resource sharing.
