The January 12, 2022, LA Community College Board meeting authorized the Chancellor
" to conduct a search for the new President at Los Angeles Pierce College, with a target date for completion of June 30, 2022 and start date of July 1, 2022. The search will be conducted pursuant to board policy and administrative procedure.
Background: President Montevirgen resigned; Interim President Aracely Aguiar is serving in this position until a new president is selected."
Announcement of a new President is yet to happen.
Currently there is no fence, gate, or protection of the Pierce College property. The white vinyl fence was removed mid-July. A December 2021 mention of the fence replacement was the nullifying a contract. No further mention of the fence has occurred since that date, in any public agenda or minutes for meetings, of the LA Community College Board.
$400k replacement cost was presented to the board in September 2021.
