United States Customs and Border Protection watches over all of the borders of our great country—land and sea. The Atlantic coast, the Pacific coast, the Gulf coast, the Great Lakes, the border with Canada, and the border with Mexico. That’s over 8,000 miles of border!

"Protecting our borders from the illegal movement of weapons, drugs, contraband, and people, while promoting lawful trade and travel, is essential to homeland security, economic prosperity, and national sovereignty."  Border Security | Homeland Security (dhs.gov)

Note: Not to be confused with Daniel Salazar a fictional character in the television series Fear the Walking Dead, portrayed by Panamanian actor Rubén Blades.
