A LAFD alert Water Rescue 04/21/2023 INC#0640 | Los Angeles Fire Department (lafd.org) did not identify the house on Des Moines where a set of 4 year old twins were involved in a "water rescue".
There are no laws which require a homeowner to attend scheduled or annual pool safety classes; nor would that solve or prevent every incident. A homeowner cannot predict every situation or control every person who is involved with the use of a pool on the property.
However, the agency (LAFD) & people who rescue and provide medical care associated with pool incidents have joined with a national effort to prevent drownings, POOL SAFELY.
