Mayor's Crisis Response Team Volunteer Recruitment

The Mayor's Crisis Response Team (CRT) is looking for compassionate Angelenos who are interested in serving their community.

CRT members are volunteers who respond to traumatic incidents at the request of the Los Angeles Police and Los Angeles Fire Departments. The CRT provides immediate on-scene crisis intervention and acts as a liaison between victims, survivors, and emergency personnel. Referrals are also given to victims and their families affected by death, violent crimes, or traumatic incidents. These incidents include homicide, suicide, serious traffic collisions, natural deaths, and multi-casualty incidents.

Can you commit to volunteering 36 on-call hours per month?

Those interested in volunteering are required to complete an application, attend an interview session, and complete a 9-week training academy. CRT Volunteers are required to purchase uniform supplies. The academy for the Mayor’s Crisis Response Team provides volunteers with knowledge and hands-on training to help responders provide support, trauma intervention, and resources to survivors.
