City & County Address Fentanyl Overdoses

El Chapo's sons are credited with banners in Sinaloa forbidding the sale, manufacture, transport or business dealing with fentanyl. Would such a campaign by U.S. law enforcement succeed?

Nationally, six out of ten street-bought drugs now contain illicit fentanyl, according to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration Administrator Anne Milgram. She also said “These pills are being mass-produced by the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco Cartel in Mexico."

It should be noted the Sinaloa Cartel are so presumptuous of immunity and minimal repercussions from American and/or Mexican law enforcement they have littered Sinaloa with flyers proclaiming a monopoly on Fentanyl in Sinaloa.

An appropriate number of County executives spoke at the press event  September 21st, on National Opioid Awareness day, expressing solidarity against the growing presence of fentanyl.

Previously on July 26 the LA County Board of Supervisors voted to look for new ways to address the crisis ...with a three month window for department heads to present their conclusions.

DEA alert

Earlier this year, the DEA conducted a nationwide operational surge to target the trafficking of fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills and, in just over three months, seized 10.2 million fake pills in all 50 states. Through its One Pill Can Kill campaign, the DEA is working to alert the American public of the dangers of fake prescription pills.
