*** Members of our Volunteer Community Patrol (VCP) conducted a radar detail on Friday on Lassen.

While VCP cannot issue a speeding ticket, they do record the plate, car type, and speed of offenders. Those drivers will get a warning letter advising them of the potentially deadly consequences of speeding. The data is also shared with Valley Traffic Division for use in their deployment plans and that information will be used during traffic enforcement details.

** Devonshire VCP was the first volunteer unit in the city to launch a radar team.
