11/13/24 CBS News Report - LAFD Incident Report INC#0569
You can see some water was in the SantaYnez Reservoir which was used by the LA City Fire helicopter for water drops. This was two weeks before the Malibu Franklin Fire & a week after the Camarillo Mountain Fire. They suggested there was going to be an arson investigation for the Nov 13th fire.
Kevin Dalton, LA County Supervisor District 1 candidate posted it on Facebook but did not provide a link to the original source.
Note how low the level of water is in the reservoir.
FORWARD PROGRESS STOPPED 10:57AM; Over 60 firefighters on scene have stopped all forward progress. The precisely targeted, rapid water drops from LAFD Air Operations combined with the firefighter's aggressive fire attack on the ground held the fire to approximately one acre (revised from initial size up). No structures damaged and no injuries reported. Due to the steep terrain and the work required to conduct a mop up operation, all resources will remain on scene.
Brush Fire; 09:50AM Approximately 5 acres, slow moving in heavy brush adjacent to the reservoir. Topography (not wind) driven with steep slopes
