18 Places of Worship Burned in Pacific Palisades & Altadena

Eighteen congregations were affected by the Altadena & Pacific Palisades fires. Buildings but not their faith. A Mosque, a Temple, and Fourteen Churches were completely destroyed.

Fourteen Churches, a Mosque, a Temple were completely destroyed. One Churches had rectory structures destroyed and another the main sanctuary roof and structure stability. Buildings were burned but not the faith of congregations.

Many congregations lost not only their central point of gathering, but clergy and members also lost their homes. Most congregations have found a neighboring house of faith to join or hold services at an adjacent time schedule.

Attention was given in January, by the media, to the destruction of the Houses of Worship but no mention or updates have occurred since then. Community online funding for rebuilding has not passed $30,000 for any of the organizations.
