The USPTO started the competition in 2014 to introduce law students to issues arising in U.S. patent law. It has since evolved into a national law school competition that gives law students an opportunity to develop patent skills by applying legal principles to a hypothetical invention scenario.
Congratulations and good luck to all of the 2025 NPADC regional round finalists:
University of Pittsburgh School of Law: Ryan Estatico and Matthew Nealon (Northeast Regional Outreach Office round)
University of Minnesota Law School: Ola Ayaso, Ross Brink, and Richard Klinger (Midwest Elijah J. McCoy Regional Outreach Office round)
University of Wisconsin Law School: Brent Brunner and Wonkyo Jeong (Rocky Mountain Regional Outreach Office round)
Arizona State University - Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law: Alessandra Gualtieri, Tanner Murray, Ian Shaw, and Kylie Snow (Western Regional Outreach Office round)
