Local Pastor Responds to Shootings In Utah & North Carolina

My heart is literally breaking for what I witnessed a few minutes ago after seeing the horrific shooting of Charlie Kirk today. Coming off the heels of seeing the video of the Ukrainian woman who was murdered in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I wept and wailed thinking how much evil exist in the hearts of man today. As a nation, how far we have drifted away from God. How little respect we have for human life. How immoral we have become and how much hatred there is in the inner chambers of our hearts. We have turned aside from following and honoring a Holy God and instead have decided we that we are greater than God and that we no longer need him. We have placed self, money and power above all other things. We will steal, lie, cheat and even kill in the name of self-righteousness or self-preservation. We are living in the days of Noah.

I have never met nor talked with Charlie Kirk, but I do know he was on the front lines for trying to reason with College Students around the country who have been consumed and immersed with liberalism and humanism. He often spoke of his faith in Jesus Christ. He believed in the freedoms of our country and the right for people to have the ability to have discourse and discussion over any and all topics. You don't have to agree with his politics but you should believe in the right for free speech. 

The problems in our country have many layers and nuances. But at the core of our fabric, at this time, we are a lost nation. Evil is on every corner. Whatever time God gives us before he says "enough" best be spent in prayer and petition and seeking revival in our land. I literally cried out loud today for America to repent. For every person who names the name of Jesus to turn from OUR wicked ways and to turn from OUR sin, to humble ourselves and to seek God's face. Then and only then will he heal our land. Yes, I am pleading for all to find and know Jesus. He is the ONLY Saviour, King and LORD we need. If God gives us another 1000 years or if he decides to return today, I pray that YOU will turn to him. That our nation will turn to him. Only light can dispel darkness and Jesus is the light of he world. Please God, please. May it begin in me. May you help me to lift up Jesus that the world might believe.
