Presentation of the 2026 Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour
We are pleased to invite you to a special presentation of the 2026 Sundance Institute Indigenous Film Tour at the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum and Cultural Center from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.
The evening’s program includes the documentary feature film Aanikoobijigan [ancestor/great-grandparent/great-grandchild] (which premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival) and one short film from Sundance Institute–supported filmmaker, Isabella Madrigal titled Menil and Her Heart. Descriptions of each film can be found below.
Light refreshments will be available, and a special moderated Q&A with filmmaker Isabella Madrigal will take place immediately following the screenings.
Admission to this event is free for all ages with advanced reservation, as seating in the Heritage House is limited. We anticipate this event will fill up quickly, so please secure your tickets early using the button below.
