The 2023 movie "Missing" was promoted as an AI generated film, but editor Zakowski reveals actually — most of the film was created with straightforward, out-of-the-box Adobe products.

Since 2007 there have been 9 movies singularly titled "Missing".  The most recent has a 87% Rotton Tomatoes rating and stars Storm Reid, Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung. Missing (2023)

Sony's 2023 "Missing" was produced during the 2020-2022 pandemic parameters. Zakowski: Because we edited the previz during the pandemic, we relied heavily on cloud-based servers to share projects and assets while working from home. We actually used surprisingly few AI tools during the edit — most of the film was created with straightforward, out-of-the-box Adobe products.

According to "Decider" the film is fictional and a standalone sequel to the 2018 fictional film Searching, which was also a fictional story.
