ComicCon, the largest comic convention originated in 1970, whereas Los Angeles ComicCon began in 2011, Alpha & Omega Con began in 2010, & Doxacon was established in 2000.
Alpha & Omega Con, this year, is held at Light & Life Christian Fellowship in Long Beach, CA on September 20th, 2025. It was established in 2013, based on the vision of Don Ensign, the founder of the Christian Comic Arts Society (CCAS), to offer a wholesome, faith-centered alternative to mainstream comic conventions. The Alpha Omega Con is the longest-running Christian-themed, family-friendly comic book/pop-culture convention in the United States. Free tickets are available thru this link.

SAVE THE DATE: Doxacon 2025 will be held Oct 31 and Nov 1 at the Catholic University of America Doxacon Prime was established in 2013, while Doxacon Seattle was first held in 2014. The 2025 Seattle event was held February 5th in Woodinvale, Washington. It is the "brainchild of Rev. Father David G. Subu and Mr. Daniel Silver of Protection of the Holy Mother of God Orthodox Church in Falls Church, VA".... who determined "there needs to be some kind of gathering where Orthodox fans of the science fiction and fantasy genres could discuss their mutual interests in the framework of Orthodox Christianity."
The purpose of Doxacon is to discuss which flowers we should visit and what pollen we should take from them. There is much in the genres of sci-fi and fantasy that is worthy of our attention.
