How we got here

The grants are part of California Climate Investments, a statewide initiative that puts billions of Cap-and-Invest dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy, and improving public health and the environment—particularly in disadvantaged communities.

Free support is available through CARB’s Planning and Capacity Building Administrator team. To be guaranteed technical assistance, applicants must complete the Technical Assistance Survey by January 23, 2026.

Funding is available for projects focused on clean mobility transportation planning, community transportation needs assessments, community capacity building, outreach, workforce training and development, ongoing technical assistance, and other critical community-led clean mobility investment needs.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) awarded COLDf's Rebound the MLKCommUNITY a Sustainable Transportation Equity Project Grant to conduct a planning effort to identify clean transportation needs and opportunities in neighborhoods within Southeast Bakersfield.

The Rebound the MLKCommUNITY project will educate the community about clean transportation options and empower residents to develop a roadmap and implementation strategy centered on mobility equity.
