Carbon pollution is warming the planet, but where can that carbon be stored? From forests and farms to deep underground rock formations, California is investing in multiple approaches to remove carbon from the atmosphere. These efforts are an important complement to the state’s primary climate priority to vastly reduce carbon pollution across our state.
