A map presented by the LA Times does not clarify if the precincts presented contain a max of 1500 voters or a combination of two+ precincts. The former would suggest a 66% turnout

The LA Times has presented online maps detailing major elected office results for decades. While the archived maps are not easily accessible, they have been morphed into other media outlets. 2026 primary election results: Here's how your neighborhood voted for Los Angeles mayor - Los Angeles Times

The June 2026 primary map was created on June 4th and promises to be updated with the final results in July.  Viewing the map allows very dynamic a picture of the voting based on communities. The SFV and Pacific Palisades were definitely strengths for Spencer Pratt. While Karen Bass garnered across the center of the Valley, a curious statistic given that while it is a dominant apartment corridor there is a strong prominence and visibility of the encampments.

Nevertheless, looking at the City's parameters for a precinct one would presume the A-E suffix indicates they are subsets of the 1500 cap for a precinct population. Taking one June 2026 precinct in the center corridor Precinct 9006443A in Reseda and comparing it with the Los Angeles City District Mapping Application - one has to wonder

  • It appears there may be 12 precincts consolidated into 9006443A
    • 9000129A,9007900B, 9002327A, 9006427B, 9006437A, 9006437B, 90006437C, 9006443A, 9006443B, 9006443C,9006456A, 9007232A,
  • If you figure 9006443A 9006443B 9006443C comprise a precinct of 1500 voters max
    • At a minimum, if there are indeed 12 precincts, it would suggest the newly configured 9006443A has easily 6000 voters  ((12/3)*1500)
    • Then 852 voters would indicate a 14% turnout?
  • If there are 1500 voters in 9006443A, then 852 voters would indicate a 56.8% turnout?
