Please join us from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11 for our first "Second Thursday at the Museum" event - a new monthly series coming to the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum and Cultural Center!
Our featured speaker this month is Santa Ynez Chumash community member Beau Armenta, founder of TreeFish Copper, whose iconic products can be found at the Museum Gift Shop.
Beau's handcrafted creations are as beautiful as they are functional, and each design carries a distinct tribal influence.
"My Chumash heritage is deeply woven into my being. Working with copper out in nature echoes the traditions of my ancestors, connects me to the land in a profound way and allows me to honor my roots." - Beau Armenta, founder of TreeFish Copper
This free, after-hours event includes a lecture and demonstration by the artist, as well as free museum admission to the Permanent Exhibit, Temporary Exhibit, and Cultural Park. Audio tours can be added to your experience for $10 per person.
Admission is free, and no reservation is required. If you haven’t been by to experience our new Temporary Exhibit, 𝐵𝑒𝑡𝑤𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑇ℎ𝑟𝑒𝑒 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑𝑠: 𝐶𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑦 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐶𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑃𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝐶ℎ𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑝ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝐸𝑣𝑎𝑛𝑠, this is a perfect opportunity to plan a visit.
About TreeFish Copper
TreeFish Copper began as a passion for creating meaningful work by hand. Drawing inspiration from traditional craftsmanship, the natural beauty of the Santa Ynez Valley, and Beau's Chumash heritage, he transforms raw copper into one-of-a-kind bowls, jewelry, and heirloom pieces. Every piece is individually shaped, textured, and finished to create something truly unique.
Find these beautiful creations at the Museum Gift Shop, and online at treefishcopper.com.
