Equine therapy is designed to improve the rider's cognitive, emotional, and physical wellbeing; but it is considered a recreational activity by most insurance companies.

Equine therapy has expanded its clientele focus and is including physical & mental therapy. Please consider contributing to their heart driven passionate endeavors. The list below includes these in the San Fernando Valley and adjacent, some which are a part of Eagala - A Global Standard in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Personal Development

The east San Fernando Valley has seen less development of horse property than the western communities of Bell Canyon, Calabasas, Topanga and Malibu. The land adjacent and deep into the Verdugo mountains has many traditional horse ranches, including, Sunland-Tujunga, Sun Valley, La Crescenta-Montrose and Shadow Hills.  It is these areas where there is a prevelance of horse related events, farms, and therapy sites.
