Toy & Food Drive & Distribution Events for Christmas

There are many opportunities to participate in donating gifts & toys for children as well as volunteering to distribute those at various events throughout the San Fernando Valley.

Toy Drives

  • November 20-December 25  
  • Shepherd of the Hills - Porter Ranch/Woodland Hills:   
    • Place new, unwrapped toys inside the toy chest near the Christmas tree - Porter Ranch
    • Place new, unwrapped toys at the Information Counter - Woodland Hills
    • Online through Amazon Wishlist
  • December 4, 2022 5pm - 7pm 
  • Tequilas Cantina & Grill restaurant has partnered with Home Again L.A.’s Chief Executive Officer, Albert Hernandez, and the Burbank Chamber of Commerce to host the second annual Burbank Holiday Toy Drive
    • The toy drive kick-off event will be taking place on Sunday, December 4th, at Tequilas from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Santa is expected to sleigh in from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM to greet guests and take pictures with children. The community is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to contribute to the drive. The event brings in a lot of people, so reservations are recommended due to the limited space, and you can call/text 818-516-9250 for more information.
    • If you cannot attend, you can still participate by dropping off a toy at one of the locations listed below between Friday, November 26th and Saturday, December 24th.

    • We’re back at the Valley Relics Museum for the 14th Annual Toy Drive and Cruise In. Lots of hot rods, muscle cars, low riders, customs and motorcycles. All are welcome.

      Your toy donation gets you entry into the best museum covering the history of our area,
      the Valley Relics Museum. So come out for a great afternoon of fun, cars, bikes, food and a throwback in time……Remember, enter on Stagg St just east of Balboa Blvd… First gate on the left

Volunteer

  • Light up the Night December 10 - Shepherd of the Hills Porter Ranch
  • The Child Care Resource Center - 2001 Prairie St. Chatsworth 10:00am - 12:00pm
    • Wrap thousands of books and toys this holiday season
      • Wrapping supplies will be supplied
      • Music & Snacks served
    • RSVP mandatory - Space limited 
    • A $5.00 per person donation is required to participate in this event.
    • All volunteers between the age of 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Distribution

  • December 10 5:30pm
  • LIGHT UP THE NIGHT: Shepherd of the Hills - Porter Ranch:
    • A special event for children in Foster Care or experiencing homelessness
    • Donate a toy prior to the event or volunteer for the night 
  • Northeast Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce 25th Annual Holiday Toy Drive
