National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

The event is held at the Randal D. Simmons Park (formerly West Valley Park) named after Officer Randal D. Simmons killed in the line of duty Feb 7, 2008.

West Valley Area now patrols 33.5 square miles with a population of 196,840 people. That’s down from the 52 square miles West Valley patrolled prior to the opening of the Topanga Area.
