168 Film Project
This is our signature speed filmmaking competition. Speed Film teams have 168 hours (7x24) to shoot and edit a short film based on a theme and a Bible verse (pre-production lasts 10 days). "Non-Speed" categories can begin much earlier. Tens of thousands of filmmakers have completed over 1,000 films since 2003.

The 168 Film Project is a short film production competition for filmmakers of any skill level. Films are made from ANY location in the world, based on a theme and a verse from the Bible, to premiere at the 168 Film Festival.

- NON-SPEED FILM START: Anytime after fee is paid, verse chosen
- SPEED FILM VERSE ASSIGNMENT: Tuesday August. 9, 7:00pm PDT (online event)
- SPEED FILM PRE-PRODUCTION BEGINS: August 9, after Verse Assignment
- SPEED FILM PRODUCTION START: Cameras may roll Friday August 19, 11am PDT (no earlier)
- ALL FILMS - TURN-IN DEADLINE: Friday August 26. Upload must start prior to 11am PDT
- CORRECTED SCREENING COPY and BTS DOC ENTRIES ("Making of 168" 3 minute shorts) both due: September 2 by midnight local time
- 168 FESTIVAL Saturday Nov. 5, 2022 9am - 9pm (Venue TBD)
